. Hello fellow fishers. We had several big announcements at the March meeting, plus a few updates.

We have 3 new events scheduled but they each need at least 2 volunteers to help out. 

It's easy and brief. 

Our April and May meetings this year will be outdoors at East Laporte park.These events will be open to the general public and anyone interested in fly fishing, learning fly fishing, or just hanging out at a picnic to eat!

We'll host a cook-out and hopefully some fly casting/fishing coaching. The volunteers would be needed for an hour or two max starting around 4 or 5 pm. They would demonstrate and coach casting, knots, and field general fly fishing questions from the general public. Casting would be on the lawn or banks unless there are waders to borrow.

Hamburgers and hot dogs start at 6:30 or so

I need to know who can volunteer and what day/days they are available by MARCH 15th, so we can publicize the event. We'll do all we can to make it a fun couple of hours, please consider helping us out by sharing your time. You won't regret it.

We also would like to do the same thing, minus cookout, at Greening up the Mountains. That would be 2-4 pm at a location very close to Poteet Park ( across the Bridge of Bridge Park ).

Again, we need a couple of helpers.

April 22  Downtown Sylva--we need to 2-4pm. No cookout.
